"maYbe" the last Raya in Malaysia

2009, the year when i was already 18 years old. All were already on my own. this year raya was the most memorable moment in my life. All of my family member gathered together. I also, feel it very deeply. Its was so enjoyable. The most important, it was first time i feel very happy in my life during Aidilfitri. But, when i think again, Insyaallah, maybe 2009' aidilfitri was the last before going to Canada next year. I hug Abah n Mak, tightly until i don't realise that i cried. I love them very much. Each time i went home for holiday, i can saw that, everyday, they become older n older. Alhamdulillah, my mid term result was ok. At least, i saw Abah smile when i gave him the result slip. I feel so touched as before, when i told him about my result he gave no respond. It made me fell so touched. I will make you proud of me Abah. I will.

The time was too packed until i seldom update my lovely blog. it was already 22 Ramadhan. i just dunno why, at this moment, i feel very empty, i feel very lonely. Why?. I just like i'm losing something until one moment if feel like losing everything. I just feel that this year Ramadhan was very short. I'm lost myself with ibadah. WHY!!?? Last year Ramadhan was already bad totally bad, why can't i make it. I am sad. so sad. seriously sad. badly sad..until it was unexplainable. Yesterday exam, was bad. I dunno why i can't do well. i'm just can't stand it. i'm become jealous with all my friends that already went overseas. Especially Hazeem. My old frenz. We were really close together since standard 4. I still remember, the week before UPSR we were studying together. Fighting who finish first doing the math test paper..hahah...it was funny..alhamdulillah, we've got 5A in UPSR. Later on, he got place at Sekolah Alam Shah which is SBP, but i'm just at ordinary school at Alor Star. I alwast visit him during school holidays, together with Shamil. We used to celebrate Hari Raya together even it was not Hari Raya Pertama. But It was sad for me this year, as he was already at UK, studying at United World College. The worst thing, i did not manage to send him at KLIA last 31 August. That was very bad...whatever it is, Gud Luck Hazeem. We meet again. I pray for u.

Now, i wondering, do i really can go to Canada? At this moment, i feel very down. i'm not sure if i can make it. Erna also will fly this 29 September to University of Alexandria. Oh Allah. What is this? Is it a challenge to me? Maybe it is. Today, 12 September 2009, I promise to myself that HAFIZ will be going to Canada what ever happen or whatever obstacles come. I'LL FACE IT!!!...

at this moment, i also miss all EXALTIAN....really miss the moment when it was ramadhan at jenan. we syahur together, breakfast together. really miss that. and luckily, managed to breakfast with some exaltian and the most important with my dear, erna.

that, all. and today 12 september as scheduled there will be futsal of exaltian at UM...hope, jadi la eak...see u there...

The wearing of Hijab is the religious obligation which is ignored by Muslim women. To certain extent, some people argue that, wearing a hijab is an individual freedom. Even they know that it is compulsory to cover their aurah, but they still neglect to obey the obligation.

For one thing, there are that certain parties which are promoted the Islamic value and dignity, but they did not totally uphold what Islam had been prescribed in The Quran and The Hadith. It should be noted that, they allege that the veiling is discriminate the right of women.

Norani Othman (2006) pointed out that, "the discriminate of Muslim women through the mechanism of hijab, gender segregation and social control is sustained and reinforced in contemporary society because quite often it coincides or intersects with the postcolonial politics of cultural identity (p.89)".

Thus, for them the hijab is one of the violence which is against the dignity of women. It is because by wearing hijab, it makes a limitation in doing things.

However, they should not argue the command in the religious obligatory. More noteworthy, most of the people who assert about this issue, they used to misinterpret the meaning in the verse 26 in Surah al A'raf (Mohammad Marmaduke pickthall, 2001, p.206): The Almighty said which means: "O Children of Adam! We have revealed unto you raiment to conceal your shame, and splendid vesture, but the raiment of restraint from evil, that is best. This is of the revelations of Allah that they may remember."

Thus, from this verse they tend to translate the sentence "the raiment of restraint from evil, that is best" which refer to the "TAQWA" is vital clothe rather than the proper way of covering the aurah.

Zainah Anwar (2000) stated the following: "Sisters in Islam takes the position that the state should not use force in its desire to see women covered up. Religion depends on faith and will. Imposing laws and regulations on dressing does not necessarily lead to more piety among the believers, but instead commands compliance based on fear of the state and of Islam. This is not the right path to taqwa." (p.4)

Perhaps, they insist that what is inside in the heart is more essential in spite of the good and pious deeds. Conversely, all verses that had been revealed in the Quran have more interpretation. Its should not understand literally.

But, there are some more verses will support to one another verses in the Quran. Furthermore, they should refer how the real concept of Hijab in Islam and all the principles are clearly mentioned in the Quran and The Hadith.

In addition, a primary concern need to be noted that there are some Muslim women who refuse to wear a hijab based on the verse in the Quran especially in Surah Al Baqarah, verse 256 in which the verse said about there is no compulsion in religion. Therefore, in their interpretation, Islam does not force people to do what they did not want to do.

As far as the Islamic shari'ah is concerned, in order to understand the whole message in the Revealed Book, it is necessary to refer to the other verses. It will give understanding in comprehensively meaning in order to avoid any misinterpretation.

However, they still manage to questioning and arguing the obligation rather than to obey the commands. Some people may agree with the party who claim that Hijab is an individual freedom through their relevant proofs.

On the other hand, after seeing these arguments, there is no way that we can agree with what they say. It is because, we are Muslim and we should not tolerate on this issue. The edict of the religion we can not simply ignore it. In fact, to be a good Muslim is to obey what Islam command to do, not to against or make a confusion upon the subject matter.

Allah said in Surah At Tawbah verse 71, (Mohammad Marmaduke pickthall, 2001, p.267): Allah said, which means: "And the believers, the men and the women, are friends one of the other; they bid to honour and forbid dishonour; they perform the prayer, and pay the alms, and they obey God and His Messenger. Those upon them God will have mercy".

Hence, this verse shows that the important to obey what Allah asks us to do in order to get His blessing in worldly life as well as in the hereafter. For one thing, what is discussing here is not what they are trying to prove. But, instead of to bring back what they had been misunderstood upon the matter.

Do they really comprehend what is the meaning of hijab?. Do they really know what is the real concept of hijab in Islam and what are the reasons behind this obligation?. These are the things that need to be considered as to show that their argument is irrelevant.

According to Murtaza Mutahhari (1987) explained that, "the words hijab means covering or a veil. The Philosophy behind the hijab for women in Islam is that they should cover her body from the non mahram" (p.13). Therefore, it is obligatory to women to cover their aurah.

The relevant verses embodied to this issue such as in Surah An Nur verse 31 and Surah Ahzab, verse 59 (Mohammad Marmaduke pickthall, 2001, p. 604): Allah said, which means: "O Prophets! Tell thy wives and thy daughters and the women of the believers to Their cloaks close round them (when thay go abroad). That will be better, that So they may be recognized and not annoyed. Allah is ever Forgiving, Merciful"

As highlighted from Yusuf Qardawi (2006) pointed out, "This verse shows that to cover the aurah is compulsory upon Muslim women. Islam is already given the guideline how Muslim women should observe their way of dress" (p.45).

Thus, In surah An Nur, verse 31 and Surah Al Ahzab, verse 59 clear explained the way Muslim women should observe their dress. They need to lower their veil and this is the best way to avoid any disturbing, such as sexual harassment and getting involve in adultery.

Some people may argue that, either cover or not, women still become the victim of the rapist. So, there is useless to cover the aurah. However, it is should be noted that, the command from Allah was in the early age of the coming of Islam.

Furthermore, the obligation of wearing hijab is a dignity to women. The emergence of Islam honored the status of women. Unlike the dark ages in Arab, women were the lower status and become the servant for man (M.J Bahonar, 1988).

Perhaps, the coming of Islam gives an appreciation to women. Women require to express their thankful to Allah and should not question what Islam had been commanded to do.

Zaharuddin (2007) stated that, the obligation of hijab is differentiate between man and animal. An animal did not require to wear a clothe. It should to be noted that in Surah Al A'raf, verse 26 in the Holy Quran (Mohammad Marmaduke pickthall, 2001,p.206): The Almighty said, which means: "O children of Adam! We have revealed unto you raiment to conceal your shame and splendid vesture.."

He further highlighted that, wearing hijab is such as 'uniform' to muslim Women. It differentiates between the Muslim and non Muslim. Perhaps, this is the identity to be as a Muslim. As highlighted by Salbiah Ahmad (2007) explained that, "the 'Muslim Dress' today is powerful because of a personal identity and collective association. It is reflected the importance of religion as a basis of personal and sacred identity" (p.10).

Hence, it is clearly mentioned that wearing hijab is the Islamic identity. We need to be proud on the entitled of the identity. It is not an individual freedom, but the command from Allah. Indeed, it is important to pay particular attention, the inside pious intention is not enough. The good deeds are manifest throughout the action and personality goes hand in hand, not the good intention alone.

A week alrEady

Alhamdulillah, it was already a week of Ramadhan. I managed to get myself with the surrounding here for the fasting month. Although it was very tough, but i alwast seek Allah help to build my spirit and make me strong. It was also more than a month i studied in SUnway University College. For me, the system of CIMP was cery nice. Maybe at first i could not to cope with it, but now i fell much better. I geeting back myself back already. Even it was not 100% but, it small enough to make me have full concentration at class and most important not postponing any homework or assignment. HAHA..Last Thursday, i went to surau and saw i interesting article. It's about Why Allah Don't Accept Our Doa....i read it. but i did not manage to memorise it.. but i search through google and found this.

~ Menghidupkan Ramadhan Dengan Sunnah ~

“Makan sahurlah kerana sesungguhnya pada sahur itu terdapat berkah.” (HR. Bukhari dan Muslim)

Berikut adalah beberapa sunnah atau amalan-amalan yang dianjurkan ketika melakukan puasa. Semoga bermanfaat.

[1] Melewatkan Sahur
Nabi kita shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam telah memerintahkan dan menganjurkan kepada orang yang hendak berpuasa agar makan sahur. Beliau shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam bersabda,

مَنْ أَرَادَ أَنْ يَصُومَ فَلْيَتَسَحَّرْ بِشَىْءٍ

“Barangsiapa ingin berpuasa, maka hendaklah dia bersahur.” (HR. Ahmad. Dikatakan shohih oleh Syaikh Al Albani kerana memiliki banyak syawahid. Lihat Shohihul Jami’)

Nabi kita shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam memerintahkan demikian kerana di dalam sahur terdapat keberkahan. Dari pembantu Rasulullah shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam –Anas bin Malik radhiyallahu ‘anhu- berkata bahawa Rasulullah shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam bersabda,

تَسَحَّرُوا فَإِنَّ فِى السَّحُورِ بَرَكَةً

“Makan sahurlah kerana sesungguhnya pada sahur itu terdapat berkah.” (HR. Bukhari dan Muslim)

Keberkahan yang dimaksudkan di sini di antaranya adalah dengan makan sahur seseorang akan menjadi kuat berpuasa mulai daripada terbit fajar hingga matahari tenggelam. (Lihat Syarh Riyadhus Sholihin, 3/451, Darul Kutub Al ‘Ilmiyah)

Barokah lain juga adalah sebagai pembeza antara puasa Yahudi-Nashrani (Ahlul Kitab) dengan umat ini. Dari Amr bin ‘Ash radhiyallahu ‘anhu, Rasulullah shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam bersabda,

فَصْلُ مَا بَيْنَ صِيَامِنَا وَصِيَامِ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ أَكْلَةُ السَّحَرِ

“Perbezaan antara puasa kita (umat Islam) dan puasa ahlul kitab terletak pada makan sahur.” (HR. Muslim).

Orang ahli kitab ketika berpuasa, mereka makan sahur sebelum pertengahan malam dan mereka tidak makan sahur sama sekali. Kaum muslimin diberi keutamaan dalam berpuasa iaitu diberi kemudahan untuk makan sahur.

Rasulullah shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam juga melarang untuk meninggalkan sahur, di mana beliau shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam bersabda,

السَّحُورُ أَكْلُهُ بَرَكَةٌ فَلاَ تَدَعُوهُ وَلَوْ أَنْ يَجْرَعَ أَحَدُكُمْ جَرْعَةً مِنْ مَاءٍ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَمَلاَئِكَتَهُ يُصَلُّونَ عَلَى المُتَسَحِّرِينَ

“Sahur adalah makanan yang penuh berkah. Oleh kerana itu, janganlah kalian meninggalkannya sekalipun hanya dengan minum seteguk air. Kerana sesungguhnya Allah dan para malaikat bershalawat kepada orang-orang yang makan sahur.” (HR. Ahmad. Dikatakan hasan oleh Syaikh Al Albani dalam Shohihul Jami’)

Dan sangat dianjurkan untuk mengakhirkan waktu sahur hingga menjelang fajar. Hal ini dapat dilihat dalam hadits Anas dari Zaid bin Tsabit bahawasanya beliau pernah makan sahur bersama Nabi shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam, kemudian beliau shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam berdiri untuk menunaikan shalat. Kemudian Anas berkata,”Berapa lama jarak antara azan dan sahur kalian?” Kemudian Zaid berkata,”Sekitar 50 ayat”. (HR. al-Bukhari dan Muslim)

[2] Menyegerakan berbuka

Menyegerakan berbuka akan mendatangkan kebaikan. Rasulullah shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam bersabda,

لاَ يَزَالُ النَّاسُ بِخَيْرٍ مَا عَجَّلُوا الْفِطْرَ

“Manusia akan sentiasa berada dalam kebaikan selama mereka menyegerakan berbuka.” (HR. al-Bukhari dan Muslim)

Menyegerakan berbuka juga bererti seseorang konsisten dalam menjalankan sunnah Nabinya shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam. Rasulullah shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam bersabda,

لَا تَزَالُ أُمَّتِى عَلَى سُنَّتِى مَا لَمْ تَنْتَظِرْ بِفِطْرِهَا النُجُوْمَ

“Umatku akan sentiasa berada di atas sunnahku selama tidak menunggu munculnya bintang untuk berbuka puasa.” (HR. Ibnu Hibban dan Ibnu Khuzaimah. Dikatakan shohih oleh Syaikh Al Albani dalam Shohih Targib wa Tarhib).

Dan inilah yang ditiru oleh Syi’ah Rafidhah, mereka meniru Yahudi dan Nashrani dalam berbuka puasa iaitu baru berbuka ketika munculnya bintang. Semoga Allah melindungi kita dari kesesatan mereka. (Lihat Shifat Shoum Nabi, hal. 63)

Nabi kita shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam biasa berbuka puasa sebelum menunaikan shalat maghrib dan bukanlah menunggu hingga shalat maghrib selesai dikerjakan. Inilah contoh dan akhlaq dari suri tauladan kita shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam. Sebagaimana Anas bin Malik radhiyallahu ‘anhu berkata,

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- يُفْطِرُ عَلَى رُطَبَاتٍ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُصَلِّىَ فَإِنْ لَمْ تَكُنْ رُطَبَاتٌ فَعَلَى تَمَرَاتٍ فَإِنْ لَمْ تَكُنْ حَسَا حَسَوَاتٍ مِنْ مَاءٍ

“Rasulullah shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam biasanya berbuka dengan ruthob (kurma basah) sebelum menunaikan shalat. Jika tidak ada ruthob, maka beliau berbuka dengan tamr (kurma kering). Dan jika tidak ada yang demikian beliau berbuka dengan meminum air putih.” (HR. Abu Daud, dikatakan hasan shohih oleh Syaikh Al Albani dalam Shohih wa Dho’if Sunan Abu Daud). Hadits ini menunjukkan bahawa ketika berbuka dianjurkan berbuka dengan kurma (rothb atau tamr) sebagaimana yang beliau shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam lakukan.

[3] Berdo’a ketika berbuka

Perlu diketahui bersama bahawa do’a ketika berbuka adalah salah satu do’a yang mustajab dan tidak akan ditolak. Maka berdo’alah dengan penuh keyakinan bahawa do’amu akan dikabulkan. Nabi shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam bersabda,

ثَلاَثَةٌ لاَ تُرَدُّ دَعْوَتُهُمُ الإِمَامُ الْعَادِلُ وَالصَّائِمُ حِينَ يُفْطِرُ وَدَعْوَةُ الْمَظْلُومِ

“Ada tiga orang yang do’anya tidak ditolak : [1] Pemimpin yang adil, [2] Orang yang berpuasa ketika dia berbuka, [3] Do’a orang yang terdzolimi.” (HR. at-Tirmidzi, Ibnu Hibban, dan Ibnu Majah. Dikatakan shohih oleh Syaikh Al Albani dalam Shohih wa Dho’if Sunan Tirmidzi)

Do’a ketika berbuka adalah sebagaimana hadits yang diriwayatkan oleh Ibnu Umar radhiyallahu ‘anhuma bahawa dulu Rasulullah shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam ketika berbuka beliau membaca :

ذَهَبَ الظَّمَأُ وَابْتَلَّتِ الْعُرُوقُ وَثَبَتَ الأَجْرُ إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ

“Dzahabadh dzoma’u wabtallatil ‘uruqu wa tsabatal ajru insya Allah (ertinya: Rasa haus telah hilang dan urat-urat telah basah, dan pahala telah ditetapkan insya Allah)” (HR. Abu Daud. Dikatakan hasan oleh Syaikh Al Albani dalam Shohih wa Dho’if Sunan Abi Daud)

[4] Memberi makan orang berbuka

Para pembaca sekalian, beri makanlah kepada orang yang berpuasa kerana ini akan mendatangkan pahala dan kebaikan yang melimpah ruah. Lihatlah apa yang Rasulullah shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam sabdakan,

مَنْ فَطَّرَ صَائِمًا كَانَ لَهُ مِثْلُ أَجْرِهِ غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ لاَ يَنْقُصُ مِنْ أَجْرِ الصَّائِمِ شَيْئًا

“Siapa memberi makan orang yang berpuasa, maka baginya pahala seperti orang yang berpuasa tersebut, tanpa mengurangi pahala orang yang berpuasa itu sedikit pun juga.” (HR. at-Tirmidzi dan dikatakan shohih oleh Syaikh Al Albani dalam Shohih wa Dho’if Sunan Tirmidzi)

[5] Memperbanyakkan ibadah di bulan Ramadhan

Di antara petunjuk Nabi shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam adalah memperbanyak pelbagai macam ibadah di bulan Ramadhan. Jibril ‘alaihis sallam biasa membacakan Al Qur’an kepada beliau shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam di bulan Ramadhan. Dan apabila Jibril menemui Nabi shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam, terlihat bahawa beliau shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam adalah orang yang paling suka memberi bagaikan hembusan angin. Beliau shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam adalah sebaik-baik manusia yang paling banyak bersedekah, berbuat ihsan (kebaikan), membaca Al Qur’an, shalat, dzikir dan i’tikaf. Kalau solat menjadi tanda aras dan kayu ukur penganut ajaran Tauhid, nescaya hal ini sukar kita bincangkan. Ini kerana, sukar kita melihat penganut agama, selain Islam melakukan solat.

Walaupun sesekali kita pernah terdengar dan membaca bahawa di sana, ada beberapa penganut agama Yahudi misalnya pernah bersolat seperti penganut Islam juga. Tetapi, dalam realiti sekarang, sulit untuk kita perhatikan gerak laku solat penganut agama lain yang mirip kepada Islam.

Al-Qur'an yang merincikan solat penganut agama lain dengan penganut Islam terletak pada surah Ali Imran ayat 43. "Wahai Maryam! Taatlah kepada Tuhanmu, dan sujudlah serta rukuklah (mengerjakan solat) bersama-sama orang-orang yang rukuk."

Ada riwayat yang menyatakan bahawa solat yang mempunyai rukun rukuk di dalam solat ialah solat penganut Islam yang diajar oleh Nabi Muhammad s.a.w. Ini kerana solat penganut Nasrani tidak mempunyai rukuk. Wallahu'alam..

Menurut sesetengah pendakwah dan penceramah yang dahulunya Kristian Nasrani, pernah menyatakan bahawa Nabi Isa a.s menunaikan solat; suatu upacara keagamaan, ajaran Tauhid yang berasal daripada Ibrahim a.s.

Bagaimanapun, ciri-cirinya yang asli telah luput ditelan gelombang putaran ganas dan keasliannya rupa parasnya telah pudar dilapah arus masa.

Puasa, lambang amalan agama samawi

Oleh kerana, dialog mengenai agama di negara kita belum mencapai tahap yang baik, maka ada beberapa hal perbincangan yang tidak dapat kita lanjutkan di sini.

Bagaimanapun, tetap sahaja ada amalan agama Islam yang masih sama dan mirip kepada ibadat penganut Islam, iaitu puasa.

Manakala, amalan-amalan lain seperti solat, zakat dan menunaikan fardhu haji tidak mirip kepada amalan penganut lain.

Seperti yang difirmankan Tuhan di dalam al-Qur'an, "Wahai orang-orang yang beriman! Kamu diwajibkan berpuasa sebagaimana diwajibkan atas orang-orang yang terdahulu daripada kamu, supaya kamu bertaqwa." (Al-Baqarah: 183)

Pertamanya, dari nas ini umat Islam dapat mengenali agama-agama lain sebagai agama samawi dengan merujuk amalan berpuasa itu. Antara agama-agama yang memiliki ciri persamaan dari sudut amalan ini, iaitu berpuasa ialah Buddha, Hindu, Kristian dan juga Yahudi. Bagaimanapun, cara bagaimana amalan berpuasa dilaksanakan, ada sedikit perbezaan.

Jenis dan martabat berpuasa itu juga berbeza-beza mengikut agama, adat budaya bangsa dan martabat kerohanian seseorang itu.

Lantaran itulah, Tuhan menyatakan di hujung ayat itu, dengan harapan, amalan berpuasa yang kita lakukan itu dapat meningkatkan martabat kerohanian kita ke darjat ketaqwaan, iaitu darjat yang teragung dan paling tinggi.

Beriman atau bertaqwa?

Disebutkan dalam al-Qur'an, bahawa Tuhan menyeru orang yang beriman agar mencapai darjat ketaqwaan. Ini kerana, orang yang beriman, belum tentu dapat mencapai darjat ketaqwaan. Tapi, orang yang bertaqwa, sudah pastilah mereka beriman.

"Wahai orang yang beriman, bertaqwalah kamu kepada Allah dengan sebenar-benarnya, dan janganlah kamu mati melainkan berada dalam Islam. (Ali Imran: 102)

Juga kepada orang yang beriman itu, Allah s.w.t meminta mereka bertaqwa dengan cara menyatakan perkara yang benar walaupun pahit didengar. Ini kerana, orang yang beriman pun belum tentu dapat menyatakan perkara yang benar.

"Hai orang-orang yang beriman, bertaqwalah kamu kepada Allah dan katakanlah perkataan yang benar, maka Allah memperbaiki bagi amalan-amalanmu, dan mengampuni bagimu dosa-dosamu.." (Al-Ahzab: 70 - 71)

Maka, hendaklah orang-orang yang beriman itu berjuang mendapatkan tempat di martabat ketaqwaan. Ini kerana, hanya yang mampu menyatakan kebenaran itulah yang layak digelar mencapai darjat ketaqwaan.

Orang-orang yang beriman turut diseru mencapai darjat ketaqwaan dengan menyediakan amalan sebagai bekalan untuk hari akhirat mereka. Ini kerana, ramai orang beriman, tetapi seperti tidak mengendahkan amalan mereka untuk akhirat.

"Wahai orang-orang yang beriman! Jika kamu bertaqwa kepada Allah, nescaya Dia mengadakan bagi kamu (petunjuk) yang membezakan antara yang benar dan yang salah, dan menghapuskan segala kesalahan kamu serta mengampunkan (dosa-dosa) kamu. Dan Allah (sememangnya) mempunyai limpah kurnia yang besar." (Al-Anfal: 29)

Kita biasa berdepan dengan kebuntuan hidup dalam kehidupan. Seolah-olahnya mereka gagal mengenal mana satu berlian dan permata, yang mana intan dan yang mana kaca. Mana yang betul dan salah.

Dan, kita seperti tidak berupaya mencari penyelesaiannya. Kenapa jadi begitu, walhal kita telah mengaku beriman kepada Tuhan? Mustahil Tuhan akan meninggalkan orang-orang yang beriman itu teraba-raba dalam mencari jawapan terhadap setiap permasalahannya itu.

Maka, jawapannya ialah - orang yang beriman yang ditimpa permasalahan tadi, masih tidak mencapai darjat ketaqwaan. Dan jika orang yang beriman itu bertaqwa, maka nescaya Tuhan menunaikan janjinya dengan cara memberikannya petunjuk.

Allah s.w.t mengingatkan kita dalam firmanNya, "Hai orang-orang yang beriman! Jauhi banyak berprasangka. Sesungguhnya sebahagian dari prasangka itu dosa. Dan jangan kamu mencari-cari kesalahan orang lain, dan janganlah sebahagian kamu mengumpat sebahagian yang lain. Adakah antara kamu suka memakan bangkai saudaranya yang sudah mati? Tentu kamu merasa jijik. Dan bertaqwalah kepada Allah, sungguh Allah Maha Penerima Taubat, Maha Penyayang." (Al Hujuraat: 12)

Perbezaan lain antara orang yang beriman dan bertaqwa itu ialah insan yang beriman itu masih lagi tidak membebas diri daripada sikap prasangka, mengumpat dan mencela saudara mereka, mencari-cari keaiban orang lain untuk dihebah.

Maka, orang yang beriman dan telah sempurna jiwanya kerana kerohaniannya melompat ke darjat ketaqwaan itu, akan bersih lidahnya daripada mengumpat dan telinganya dibersihkan daripada mendengar keaiban orang lain.

Ada banyak lagi perbezaan sikap antara orang yang beriman dan bertaqwa ini. Dan, seperti yang termaklum, amalan puasa itulah antara salah satu daripada amalan yang mampu meletakkan kerohanian seseorang ke darjat ketaqwaan jika diamalkan dengan penuh keikhlasan dan kewaspadaan.

Orang yang berpuasa, digalakkan untuk tidak mencampuri urusan mendengar keaiban orang lain, selalu menyibukkan dirinya dengan zikrullah dan wirid.

Jika semua ini tercapai, maka lahirlah sikap suka menegakkan kebenaran, menyatakan yang benar di depan pihak berkuasa, kerap muhasabah tentang bekalan akhirat dan lain-lain ciri ketaqwaan yang lain.

Puasa telah menyebabkan anggota kita letih untuk melakukan maksiat dan amalan kerohanian itulah yang akan menguatkan kembali jiwa dan raga kita untuk meneruskan kehidupan.

Amalan berwirid dan berzikir di bulan Ramadhan akan menyebabkan kita kembali kepada fitrah yang suci dan asal, jika dilakukan dengan sempurna dan ikhlas menuju rahmat Allah.

Jenazah Ustaz Asri Rabbani selamat dikebumikan

Jenazah Ustaz Asri akan dikebumikan selepas Maghrib hari ini di Tanah Perkuburan Islam, Seksyen 21, Shah Alam. -foto The Star oleh AZMAN GHANI

SHAH ALAM: Jenazah Ustaz Asri telah selamat dikebumikan pada jam 9.00 malam ini di Tanah Perkuburan Islam, Seksyen 21.

Sebelum itu, jenazah telah dibawa ke rumahnya di Jalan Ikan Keli, Kampung Bukit Lanchong, di sini.

Vokalis kumpulan nasyid Rabbani, Ustaz Mohd Asri Ibrahim, 40, disahkan meninggal dunia kira-kira pukul 10.30 pagi tadi akibat serangan jantung ketika dalam perjalanan ke Hospital Pantai, Bangsar.

Antara rakan-rakan dan kaum keluarga yang hadir bagi memberikan penghormatan terakhir kepada arwah Asri.

Menurut salah seorang anggota Rabbani, Mohd. Asri Baidul @ Ubaidullah, arwah jatuh pengsan semasa raptai dalam sidang media program 'Syahadah' di Angkasapuri, Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM) kira-kira pukul 10 pagi tadi.

Balu arwah, Haliza Shahadan hadir di hospital beserta dengan beberapa rakan artis seperti penyanyi Nash, Yasin Sulaiman dan Mas Omar.

Suasana sedih menyelubungi rumah arwah di Kampung Bukit Lanchong, Shah Alam.

Selain itu, lebih 100 orang melibatkan rakan terdekat dan ahli keluarga arwah turut hadir bagi memberikan penghormatan terakhir kepada arwah.

Dua hari lalu, Asri bersama anggota Rabbani yang lain menghadiri majlis sidang media dan memeterai satu lagi perjanjian kerjasama bersama Hotel Singgahsana untuk terus membuat persembahan di hotel tersebut sepanjang bulan ramadan yang bakal tiba nanti.

Rabbani akan mengadakan persembahan sepanjang ramadan di Hotel Singgahsana sambil menghiburkan para pengunjung yang hadir serta menikmati hidangan yang bertemakan 'Citarasa Ramadan 1 Malaysia' bermula 1 Ramadan nanti.

Rabbani telah bekerjasama dengan Hotel Singgahsana selama 18 tahun dan sejak itu Rabbani telah menghiburkan para pengunjung hotel tersebut yang datang untuk berbuka puasa dengan persembahan 'live' mereka.

Tinggal kenangan..Asri (dua dari kiri, bawah) ketika bersama anggota Rabbani yang lain pada dua hari lalu ketika majlis sidang media dan memeterai satu lagi perjanjian kerjasama bersama Hotel Singgahsana untuk terus membuat persembahan di hotel tersebut sepanjang bulan ramadan yang bakal tiba nanti. -foto The Star

Dalam sidang media itu, Asri berkata mengadakan persembahan di Hotel Singgahsana merupakan satu ibadah bagi dirinya.

Amy Search juga hadir sebagai penyanyi yang pernah berduet dengan arwah.

"Saya rasa ibadah puasa saya tidak lengkap jika tidak mengadakan persembahan di hotel ini. Orang kata bulan puasa kalau boleh kurangkan bekerja, banyakkan ibadah, tetapi pada saya ini merupakan ibadah saya," katanya.

Asri dilahirkan pada 3 Ogos 1969 di Klang, Selangor.

Selain seorang balu, Haliza, 38, arwah turut meninggalkan enam orang anak iaitu Mohd Nasimudin, 15, Mohd Fathi, 14, Nur Atikah, 12, Mohd Ilhan, 10, Sufiyah Munawarah, 6, dan Hamdi Rabbani, 4.

Asri menyertai kumpulan nasyid terkenal itu sejak ia ditubuhkan secara rasmi pada 1 Mac 1997 dengan dianggotai oleh sembilan orang termasuknya.

Mas Omar turut hadir.

Sebelum Rabbani, kumpulan itu dikenali sebagai Nada Murni yang ditubuhkan sekitar tahun 80-an.

Asri juga pernah menyanyi secara duet dengan beberapa penyanyi terkenal seperti Mawi menerusi lagu 'Saksi' dan 'Mentari Merah Di Ufuk Timur' nyanyian bersama Amy Search.

Kehilangan Asri kini bermakna hilanglah tunjang Rabbani memandangkan arwah banyak menyumbangkan kemajuan prestasi sekaligus memberikan kejayaan kepada Rabbani dan industri muzik nasyid.

Atas kejayaan itu, maka tidak hairanlah jika Rabbani dijulang sebagai Penyanyi/Artis Nasyid Popular di Anugerah Bintang Popular (ABP) selama lapan tahun berturut-turut.

Tidak kurang juga anugerah yang dicapai di Anugerah Industri Muzik (AIM) seperti Album Nasyid Terbaik 2001 (Iqrar - 1421), Vokal Berkumpulan Terbaik Dalam Album 2001 (Iqrar-1421), Album Terbaik 2001 (Iqrar-1421), Album Nasyid Terbaik 2002 (Intifada), Album Nasyid Terbaik 2003 (Qiblat) serta Album Nasyid Terbaik 2009 (Nostalgia Nada Murni) dan Lagu Nasyid Terbaik 2009 (Bila Nur Melimpah Di Hati).

Revolusi muzik nasyid yang dilalui Rabbani selama berjuang dalam industri hiburan seringkali mencetus pelbagai perdebatan.

Ada yang berpendapat, lagu-lagu nasyid nyanyian Rabbani tersasar daripada landasan muzik nasyid yang sedia ada.

Sebelum ini, kumpulan ini pernah merakamkan lagu Pergi Tak Kembali ciptaan KRU berteraskan genre pop yang mendakwa Rabbani seperti meminggirkan objektif utama lagu nasyid.

Antara anggota kumpulan Raihan yang hadir melawat jenazah Asri.

Namun,kemunculan Rabbani yang turut dianggotai oleh Mohd. Asri Baidul @ Ubaidullah, Azadan Abdul Aziz, Muhammad Luqman Abd Aziz, Muhammad Rithauddeen Yaakob, Mohamad Afandi Shahbudin, Ahmad Shafie, Nazrul Azhar Tamrin dan Zulkiflee Azman ini tampil dengan konsep yang tersendiri.

Dalam tempoh lebih 12 tahun berada dalam industri ini, Rabbani telah menghasilkan 19 buah album seperti 'ARAH Dari Mana… Ke Mana…' (1997), 'Pergi Tak Kembali' (1999), 'Intifada' (2000), 'Yalla Beena' (2004) dan yang terbaru, 'Nostalgia Nada Murni'.

Bermula dengan berkonsepkan nasyid klasik, melalui irama-irama yang dipetik dari Timur Tengah, Afrika dan Andalusia, kemudian diadun dan diolah mengikut citarasa yang sesuai dengan era yang terkini.

Juga dipersembahkan bersesuaian dengan citarasa remaja.

Disamping itu ditampilkan dengan adunan muzik ala melayu timur dan digabungkan dengan adunan muzik timur tengah.

Dan kini Rabbani muncul pula dengan konsep yang lebih global dalam bidang muzik tanpa mengurangkan kualiti mesej yang akan disampaikan dengan menampilkan world music didalam lagu-lagu terbarunya.

Ini adalah untuk menjadikan irama nasyid ini akan terus segar dari semasa ke semasa dan terus diminati oleh semua golongan tanpa mengira had bangsa dan negara.

Bagaimanapun dalam menyampaikan irama nasyid ini mesej adalah yang paling utama sekali dengan berpersepsikan bentuk nasihat, dakwah dan panduan.

Sekurang-kurangnya sedikit demi sedikit pendidikan secara tidak langsung itu berjaya masuk ke ruang fikiran sambil berhibur.

Lantaran itu juga boleh mendorong sikap kita ke arah kebaikan.

if we called back, during the first day at Jenan. it was a very awkward moment as everyone does not know each other. after that, day by day, month by month, we get know to each other. it was a very beautiful friendship. during that time, friends is everything. without friends, you can't do anything, you don't have place to hold of, and even friends may be the person that can make you more comfortable at the school. Exalt, brought a lot of sweet memories , difficulties of life and the important is; the tue meaning of friendship. Exaltian, even i was only 2 years with you, it such a wonderful time to be with. thank you very much to all exaltian!! now, i really miss u all. especially cendekiawan...tq...tq so much..i will keep the memories in deep my heart as it was the ENDLESS NOSTALGIA.....

Walau bagaimanapun, kesemua kempen yang dilancarkan menemui kegagalan. Di antaranya, 5 kempen di zaman Kerajaan Umayyah, 1 kempen di zaman Kerajaan Abbasiyah dan 2 kempen di zaman Kerajaan Usmaniyah.

Di dalam salah sebuah kempen semasa zaman Kerajaan Umayyah, seorang sahabat besar Nabi saw iaitu Abu Ayyub Al Ansary ra telah syahid dan dimakamkan di bawah dinding kubu Kota Constantinople di atas wasiatnya sendiri. Apabila ditanya kenapa beliau ingin dimakamkan di situ maka beliau menjawab, “Kerana aku ingin mendengar derapan tapak kaki kuda sebaik-baik raja yang akan mengetuai sebaik-baik tentera semasa mereka membebaskan Constantinople”. Begitulah teguhnya iman seorang sahabat besar Nabi saw.

Hadis Nabi saw ini direalisasikan hampir 800 tahun kemudiannya oleh Sultan Muhammad Al Fatih, khalifah ke-7 Kerajaan Usmaniyyah dan 150,000 orang tenteranya.

Siapakah Sultan Muhammad Al Fatih? Apakah kehebatan Baginda dan tentera-tenteranya sehingga disebut “sebaik-baik raja” dan “sebaik-baik tentera” di dalam hadis tersebut.

PENGENALAN

Baginda dilahirkan pada 29 Mac 1432 Masihi di Adrianapolis (sempadan Turki – Bulgaria). Walau bagaimanapun, sejarah hidup Baginda sebenarnya telah bermula hampir 800 tahun sebelum kelahirannya kerana telah disebut sebagai “sebaik-baik raja” di dalam Hadis tadi. Baginda juga dikenali dengan gelaran Muhammad Al Fatih kerana kejayaannya membebaskan Constantinople.

Baginda menaiki takhta ketika berusia 19 tahun dan memerintah selama 30 tahun (1451 – 1481). Baginda merupakan seorang negarawan ulung dan panglima tentera agung yang memimpin sendiri 25 kempen peperangan. Baginda mangkat pada 3 Mei 1481 kerana sakit gout. Ada ahli sejarah berpendapat Baginda mangkat diracun.

PENDIDIKAN

Baginda menerima pendidikan yang menyeluruh dan bersepadu. Di dalam bidang keagamaan, gurunya adalah Syeikh Shamsuddin Al Wali dikatakan dari keturunan Sayyidina Abu Bakar As-Siddiq ra. Di dalam ilmu peperangan pula, Baginda diajar tentang tektik peperangan, memanah dan menunggang kuda oleh panglima-panglima tentera.

Di dalam bidang akademik pula, Baginda adalah seorang cendekiawan ulung di zamannya yang fasih bertutur dalam 7 bahasa iaitu Bahasa Arab, Latin, Greek, Serbia, Turki, Parsi dan Hebrew. Di dalam bidang Ilmu Pemerintahan pula, ayahanda Baginda , Sultan Murad II, dengan tujuan mendidik, semasa pergi bersuluk ke Pulau Magnesia, telah melantik Baginda yang baru berusia 12 tahun memangku jawatan Khalifah. Dalam usia semuda ini Baginda telah matang menangani tipu helah musuh.

KEPERIBADIAN

Baginda sentiasa bersifat tawadhu’ dan rendah diri . Semasa membina Benteng Rumeli Hissari, Baginda membuka baju dan serbannya, mengangkat batu dan pasir hingga ulamak-ulamak dan menteri-menteri terpaksa ikut sama bekerja

Baginda seorang yang sentiasa tenang, pendiam, berani, sabar, tegas dan kuat menyimpan rahsia pemerintahan. Baginda sangat cintakan ulamak dan selalu berbincang dengan mereka tentang permasalahan negara.

PERSIAPAN AWAL MEMBEBASKAN CONSTANTINOPLE

Selama 2 tahun selepas menaiki takhta, Baginda mengkaji pelan Kota Costantinople setiap malam bagi mengenal pasti titik kelemahannya. Baginda juga mengkaji sebab-sebab kegagalan kempen-kempen terdahulu serta berbincang dengan panglima-panglima perangnya tentang tentang strategi yang sesuai untuk digunakan.

Baginda mengarahkan dibina peralatan perang termoden seperti meriam besar yang boleh menembak bom 300 kg sejauh 1 batu. Benteng Rumeli Hissari dibina di tebing sebelah Eropah, lebih kurang 5 batu dari Kota Constantinople di mana Selat Bosphorus adalah yang paling sempit. Ia dibina bertentangan dengan Benteng Anadolu Hisar di tebing sebelah Asia yang telah dibina oleh Sultan Bayazid Yildirim dahulu. Benteng ini mengawal rapi kapal-kapal yang melintasi Selat Bosphorus. Perjanjian damai dibuat dengan pihak Wallachia, Serbia dan Hungary untuk memencilkan Constantinople apabila diserang nanti.

Baginda membawa bersama para ulamak dan pakar motivasi ke medan perang bagi membakar semangat jihad tenteranya. Sebaik sahaja menghampiri dinding kubu Kota Constantinople, Baginda mengarahkan dilaungkan Azan dan solat berjemaah. Tentera Byzantine gentar melihat 150,000 tentera Islam bersolat di belakang pemimpin mereka dengan laungan suara takbir memecah kesunyian alam.

MELANCARKAN SERANGAN KE ATAS CONSTANTINOPLE

Setelah segala persiapan lengkap diatur, Baginda menghantar utusan kepada Raja Bizantin meminta beliau menyerah. Keengganan beliau mengakibatkan kota tersebut dikepung. Pada 19 April 1453, serangan dimulakan. Kota tersebut hujani peluru meriam selama 48 hari. Setengah dinding luarnya rosak tetapi dinding tengahnya masih teguh.

Menara Bergerak

Seterusnya Baginda mengarahkan penggunaan menara bergerak yang lebih tinggi dari dinding kubu Byzantine dan memuatkan ratusan tentera. Tentera Byzantin berjaya memusnahkan menara tersebut setelah ianya menembusi dinding tengah kubu mereka.

Bantuan Dari Pope Vatican

Pope di Rome menghantar bantuan 5 buah armada yang dipenuhi dengan senjata dan tentera. Perairan Teluk Golden Horn direntang dengan rantai besi untuk menghalang kemaraan armada Usmaniyah. Ini menaikkan semula semangat tentera Bizantin.

Melancarkan Kapal Perang Dari Puncak Gunung

Kegembiraan mereka tidak lama. Keesokan paginya, mereka dikejutkan dengan kehadiran 72 buah kapal perang Usmaniyah di perairan Teluk Golden Horn. Ini adalah hasil kebijaksanaan Baginda mengangkut kapal-kapal ke atas gunung dan kemudian diluncurkan semula ke perairan Teluk Golden Horn. Tektik ini diakui sebagai antara tektik peperangan (warfare strategy) yang terbaik di dunia oleh para sejarawan Barat sendiri. Kapal-kapal itu kemudiannya membedil dinding pertahanan belakang kota.

Kapal-kapal perang tentera Byzantin habis terbakar kerana bedilan meriam Usmaniyah. Pertahanan Byzantin menjadi semakin lemah. Baginda mengambil kesempatan pada malamnya dengan memberikan semangat kepada tenteranya serta mengingatkan mereka kepada Hadis Rasulullah saw dan bersama-sama berdoa kepada Allah swt.

Memanjat dan Melastik Dinding Kota

Keesokan paginya tentera Usmaniyah cuba memanjat dinding dalam kubu dengan tangga dan cuba merobohkannya dengan lastik besar. Tentangan sengit pihak Byzantin menyebabkan ramai yang syahid. Baginda memerintahkan tenteranya berundur dan bedilan meriam diteruskan sehingga tengahari.

Karisma Seorang Pemimpin

Pengepungan selama 53 hari tanpa sebarang tanda-tanda kejayaan telah menimbulkan rasa bosan dan menghilangkan keyakinan tentera Baginda. Pada saat yang genting ini Baginda berucap menaikkan semangat tenteranya, “Wahai tenteraku, aku bersedia untuk mati di jalan Allah. Sesiapa yang mahu syahid ikutlah aku!”.

Mendengarkan itu, Hasan Ulubate, salah seorang tentera Baginda mengetuai sekumpulan kecil 30 tentera membuka dan melompat masuk ke dalam kubu musuh lantas memacak bendera Islam di situ. Mereka kesemuanya gugur syahid setelah dihujani anak panah musuh. Kemudian tentera-tentera Islam menyerbu bertali arus menembusi barisan pertahanan Byzantin sambil melaungkan kalimah Allahu Akbar.

Penawanan Constantinople

Pada 29 Mei 1453, Kota Constantinople jatuh ke tangan Islam. Baginda menukar namanya kepada Islambol (Islam keseluruhan) . Gereja Besar St Sophies ditukar kepada Masjid Aya Sofiya. Baginda dengan tawadhuknya melumurkan tanah ke dahinya lalu melakukan sujud syukur. Semenjak peristiwa inilah Baginda diberi gelaran “Al Fatih” iaitu yang menang kerana kejayaannya membebaskan Constantinople.

SEBAIK-BAIK RAJA DAN SEBAIK-BAIK TENTERA

Pada kali pertama solat Jumaat hendak didirikan, timbul pertanyaan siapa yang layak menjadi imam. Baginda memerintahkan kesemua tenteranya termasuk dirinya bangun lantas bertanya, “Siapa di antara kita sejak baligh hingga sekarang pernah meninggalkan solat fardhu walau sekali sila duduk!”. Tiada seorang pun yang duduk, kerana tidak seorang pun di antara mereka pernah meninggalkan solat fardhu.

Baginda bertanya lagi, “Siapa di antara kita yang sejak baligh hingga kini pernah meninggalkan solat sunat rawatib sila duduk!”. Sebahagian daripada tenteranya duduk.

Kemudian Baginda bertanya lagi, “Siapa di antara kamu sejak baligh hingga ke saat ini pernah meninggalkan solat tahajjud walaupun satu malam, sila duduk!”. Kali ini semuanya duduk, kecuali Sultan Muhammad Al-Fatih sendiri. Baginda tidak pernah meninggalkan solat fardhu, Solat Sunat Rawatib dan Solat Tahajjud sejak baligh . Inilah dia anak didikan Syeikh Shamsuddin Al Wali. Bagindalah sebaik-baik raja yang telah diisyaratkan oleh Rasulullah saw di dalam Hadisnya itu.

this evening, i got a sms from elani, she ask to come to mid valley. so, with no doubt i went there. at first, i was trying to use the rapid kl bus, but after an hour waiting it made me sick so i rent a taxi. but it was damn expensive. rm 25!!!...haha but it worth coz no need to face the jammed people in the ktm tren. but at shocked, i arrived there first. so i went to MPH and look around. i really wanted to buy the 1511 Kombat book that written by Faisal Tehrani but unluckily it was unavailable. so i walked around at stop at one corner, found one interesting book. " La Tahzan" written by Dr 'Aidh Bin Abdullah Al-Qarni. Actually it was not a new book but i just managed to buy it with my own money. here is the book.

after waiting for 45 minutes, i end up with meet with my old frends..really2 happy to see them. the exaltian that were there were elani, erda, nazrah, ekin, efa, amzah, sumo, cpunk and me....hehehe...we met up at the food court, have some foods, drink and chat there. but unluckily i need to go back home early. however, it was a very nice moment to each otehr again. hope to see u guys later.here some pics of the small gathering.

aFter, yesterday's day trip to seremban with my sister n her husband, i realised the world was very wide to be explored. I also meet up with my brother-in-law relative that now studying at UK, for now until raya, he had an holiday. So, he said to me, it was a normal thing when someone be down or feel very difficult to adapt with the new things, new surrounding as it was a challenges and a momentum that can mature you more. for him, tq very much. now, i fell better now. aLhamdulillah...after try,try and keep trying, i managed to answer the Unit Test #1 for Physics this morning. even it was very tough, i read it slowly, understand it, and lastly answer it. Alhamdulillah, finished all the questions, but the still some question that made me crazy at that time. MMMMMM...and after the unit test, it was IDC4U class. What???... it was malaysian studies class and today i made a presentation about invasion of Portugues and Dutch to Malacca. Nice!!!.... Lastly, its weekend!!!...hehehe...daaa...

tHE moment i wrote this, it was the moment that i fell very down, low spirited, no motivation, until i end up to leave my physics book. i don't understand, why? Where's the old hafiz??????? At Last......

Alhamdulillah, at last...i can get access to my blog, my college website, balckboard and etc. It was 2 weeks since i din not write up on this blog. It not about lazy and anything else but it was very busy moment for me to adapt with the environment, and even for the first weeks of classes, the assignment was really made me out of my mind. Physics, especially was very tough even i'm learning back what i had learned at JEnan during my secondary school( Grade 11). BUt, alhamdulillah with the help of my friends, i managed to get into what were going on and how i gonna survive there.

Sunway University College quite a well-known college. There environment here was totally different. Seriously, i fell like i already in CANADA!!!!.....There were only few of them are Malay, the rest?? foreigner lorrr....it just like a worldwide college. Just mentio nit out, Indonesia, China, Iran, Kenya, Nigeria, Korea, Sri lanka, Maurise and lot more. It give me a lot of opportunities to get know and be friend with them. What a nice place. Here pics of my college and condo.

Alhamdulillah, allah had given me the opportunities to get that scholarships. It was like a gift to me. Really countless thanz to allah. Tq Allah. But, the life cost here was very high. Even Nasi Goreng Kampung also cost me rm 5.90...what a price. luckily it was delicious. STill, i ca'nt stand with that, so i decided to cook on my own. Sharing with my friends, i managed to save alot...!!! huhuh.....but the only problem is, i'm the only one that can cook...ARGHHHH!!!!....whatever!!..huhu....

Today was the 7th day i at SUn-U college, wah...as i was not really realised, the pass very fast. However, today was my second day of class or lectur.. The last two days before was the orientation day and absolutely i said, it was very different from others orientation i've ever been into. It's was very awkward as 8 months away from study mood. Now i need to change back to STUDY MODE again...hahaha...i'm taking three subject fir the first sem. Yesterday, i got a called from Sunway Unversity College. It shocked me coz pn. asada told me that i'll register on 6th of july but sunway's told me it was 3rd july.huhu...the faster the better...hehehe....but i'm quite fear of the life there...it's ok...insyaallah...i can do it!!

The other things was the books and equipment. Jing told me a book for each subject was RM2++....aghhhhhh!!!!....but YTN only give RM300 for book allowance....huhuhu....not just that, i also need to buy the graphic calculator that cost me around RM 4++....mmm....maybe i should ask $$ from my dad...hehe...

At Sunway, i'll Canadian International MAtriculation Programme for 1 year or 2 semester....each sem contain of 3 subject...total up will be 6 subject...huhuh...even it is 6, it's not easy as abc..whatever it is....pray 4 me k...

As per National Accreditation Board requirements, all Malaysian students must pass a module each in Malaysia Studies, Moral Studies (non-Muslims) / Islamic Studies (Muslims) and Bahasa Kebangsaan (exempted if a credit in BM has been obtained at SPM level).

Structure

To qualify for the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), students must successfully complete the following:

Minimum of five (5) subjects plus ENG4U (Grade 12, University Preparation), for a total of six (6) pre-university subjects. If a student’s English skill level does not qualify for ENG4U, the student must successfully complete ENG4C (Grade 12, College Preparation) and may be required to take an additional pre-university subject depending on their university / programme of choice.
An external literacy test administered in March.

Assessment

Assessment will be 70% coursework and 30% final examinations.

The Ontario Secondary School Diploma (Grade 12) from Canada is a recognized qualification for entry into universities in Canada and most universities in the USA, Australia, New Zealand and the UK. Private institutions of learning in Malaysia offer the diploma through the following programs:

Good courses, affordable fees and friendly people – Canada is an attractive study option.

TALK about studying overseas with the average Malaysian and chances are that the top countries named will be the United States, the United Kingdom and Australia.

However, some discerning students or parents scouting around for quality education at affordable rates have zeroed in an oft-overlooked option – Canada

Extending across much of North America, the world’s second largest country is home to some 33 million people and boasts some fine educational institutions.

No, they may not be household names in this corner of the world, but foreign students enrolled in schools spread across Canada’s10 provinces and three territories will tell you that they have good reasons to be where they are.

Many routes to Canada

Melissa Tan Su-chen decided to study in Canada because she wanted to go somewhere “less crowded”.

“All my friends were going to Australia and I felt there were too many people there,” says the third-year business administration student at Simon Fraser University (SFU), British Columbia.

“So I did the Canadian International Matriculation Programme (CIMP) at Sunway University College in Malaysia, and came here.”

For University of Toronto second-year chemical engineering student Angelina Tan, studying in Canada marked the culmination of a love affair dating back to a holiday when she was five.

“I liked Canada so much, I decided to study here.”

Ajay Gopinathan’s case is a little different. The 28-year-old computer engineering student at the University of Calgary had completed his first degree and master's at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore when he went online to look for a university for his doctoral programme.

“I talked to this professor who was willing to take me, and the university offered me a teaching and research assistantship. That covered my expenses, so here I am,” he said.

Richly diverse

Every year, more than 150,000 students head for Canada to study, said Canadian Education Centre Network (CECN) director of policy and research Gardiner Wilson.

“That’s because Canada is a great place to be in. The quality of life is good, the population is multicultural, and the country has natural beauty.

“Students can get anything here, even instant noodles,” he adds.

From exploring the Pacific coastal mountains and traversing the sweeping prairie to gazing at sparkling urban skylines and revelling in the rugged beauty of the Atlantic, students will not lack things to do.

“The Rocky Mountains are only an hour away from Calgary,” says Ajay. “They are spectacular, like nothing I have seen.”

Adds Melissa: “There are so many races and cultures it’s impossible to feel out of place here.”

Its educational landscape is equally varied. Though a commonwealth country, Canada’s system of education resembles that of the United States. The provinces and territories are each responsible for all levels of education.

At the federal level, the Council of Ministers of Education, Canada (CMEC) provides a forum for education ministers to discuss matters of common concern, explore ways to cooperate, share information and coordinate education activities internationally.

All public-funded universities belong to the Association of Universities and Colleges of Canada (AUCC).

“Membership in the AUCC, coupled with the appropriate provincial legislation, is generally accepted in lieu of institutional accreditation,” said AUCC senior policy analyst Tom Tunney.

The pre-requisite to enter university is a high school diploma. In Malaysia, the equivalent is usually the Canadian Pre-University Programme or the CIMP but other qualifications are accepted.

“We welcome students from the South-East Asian region,” says Wilson, adding that there was a wide range of courses to choose from.

“From research-intensive universities to smaller ones, there is something for everyone.”

Good programmes

An indicator of the quality of an academic programme is recognition from those in the know.

“Very few people in Malaysia realise just how good Canadian programmes are,” says McGill University final-year engineering student Kuan Seng How, 23, from Kuala Lumpur.

“I’ve worked in industry here and when I say I’m from McGill, people here recognise that as of a certain quality.”

Undergrads in other Canadian universities also speak highly of the education they are getting.

“I was told that SFU has one of the best business programmes in North America; it has certainly lived up to its name,” notes Melissa.

Carleton University first-year financial economics student Natalie Gan says her lecturers are always accessible.

The Winterlude celebrations held in Ottawa every February sees the city transformed into icy splendour.

“We can see them any time after class. All we have to do is to make an appointment, and they will guide us. The teaching assistants will even help to proof-read our assignments.”

Comparative cost advantage

In Canada, higher education is still a bargain, even at the current exchange rate of RM3 to C$1. Fees vary, depending on the region, the institution, and the programme, but range from C$5,500 to C$20,000 (RM16,5000 to RM60,000) a year.

Living costs are also relative, but students generally need to factor in C$10,000 to C$12,000 (RM30,000 to RM36,000) for this purpose.

“I pay about C$14,000 (RM42,000) in tuition fees and C$12,000 (RM36,000) on living expenses,” says Seng How. “That’s about C$26,000 (RM78,000) annually.”

With the question of cost comes the issue of scholarships.

According to John Manning, senior policy adviser (international portfolio) in the Training, Colleges and Universities Ministry's Post-secondary Education Division many universities offer financial aid to students, though more so at graduate rather than undergraduate level. (See sidebar.)

“Students should check with the respective universities or CECN for information about this,” he adds.

A check with the students shows that aid is indeed readily available, especially for top students.

Natalie was automatically given an entrance award of C$2,000 (RM6,000) by Carleton University.

“This award is given every semester and good for the duration of my entire programme, as long as I maintain my A-grade standing,” she says.

The University of Alberta offers entrance scholarships of up to C$20,000 (RM60,000) based on high school grades,

However, while scholarships are available, they should not be taken for granted, says CECN's Wilson.

“It is better to come prepared with sufficient funding to avoid disruption to studies.”

Flexible system

While some universities practise rolling admission, most start in September, with application deadlines usually in January. The Canadian system also gives undergrads some leeway to combine courses and even transfer credits.

SFU’s third-year biochemistry student Sumaiya Islam, 20, says: “I was initially a political science student but I decided I wanted to study molecular biology, so in my second year, I spoke to my counsellors and made a change. My core subjects later became my electives.”

According to Wilson, students can even fast-track at universities adopting the trimester system and complete their degree within 30 months.

Work and study opportunities

An added attraction to studying in Canada is the off-campus work permit, an incentive offered to international students since April last year, which allows them to work up to a maximum of 20 hours a week during term time.

“This enables students to gain working experience and earn extra income,” says Manning.

To be eligible, students must have a valid student permit and be enrolled in a full-time programme for at least six months preceding the application. Students can also work full time during summer and Christmas breaks.

Some like University of Toronto’s Darrell Hai Nien Yong, 26, have paid for their studies partly through part-time jobs.

“I worked as a waitress,” said Darrell, who will be graduating with a master in chemical engineering this summer.

“They paid me C$8 (RM24) an hour. That covered my rental, health insurance and pocket money.”

Another initiative recently introduced allows international students to stay on and work for a year or two after graduating.

Most Canadian universities also offer a 12 to 17-week co-op education component, which is a paid work placement, in their programmes.

“The coop component gives students an edge as it’s Canadian working experience,” says education attaché to the Malaysian Students Department in Canada Ahmad Tarmizi Muhamud.

There are, he adds, about 50 government-sponsored students and another 250 registered, self-sponsored students studying in Canada.

“The universities have excellent facilities and research centres. It’s definitely an advantage for our students if they can work and learn from these centres.

Cold weather, warm people

International students from warmer climes may need to adjust to the weather though. Winters can be brutally cold, with temperatures dropping to -33°C.

University of Alberta first-year engineering student Ariff Shazwan Mohamad Nazri was once snowbound because the door of his house in Edmonton was frozen shut.

Seng How also find Canadian winters bleak. “But they do make me appreciate summer more,” he says.

However, if the winters are cold, the people are warm, and most universities make extra effort to help international students adjust to life in Canada.

McGill University, for instance, provides a pick-up service to welcome students at Montreal Airport.

“From our 6,256 international students last year, 23 were from Malaysia,” says its International Student Services manager Pauline L’Ecuyer.

“Our buddy programme, which has about 500 volunteers, matches new students with returning students to help them adjust.”

This Weekends Sepang 1000KM Promises Maximum Thrill - Free Entrance To The Public...GREAT!!!!!

Already home to some of the world’s most prestigious racing events, the Sepang 1000km is set to be another pride of Sepang International Circuit.

The inaugural Sepang 1000km will be held on June 4-6, and SIC is prepared to get the race loving nation into a frenzy with the annual championship.

“It is truly an-all Malaysian event designed by and for Malaysians in particular,” said SIC Chairman Datuk Mokhzani Tun Mahathir at the event’s launch by the Youth and Sports Deputy Minister Datuk Razali Ibrahim at the circuit yesterday.

Open to production cars below 1900cc (Class B and C), the introduction of the 1000-km race has now split the Merdeka Millennium Endurance race and, perhaps, effectively eliminated the painful experience of non qualifiers at the 12-hour race.

A maximum of 77 cars would be allowed to start the race with the quota set at 38 cars for Class 1 for cars between 1650cc to 1900cc and another 39 cars for Class 2 for cars with engine capacity below 1600cc.

Spurred by their victorious collaboration at Sepang 12-hour Merdeka Millennium Endurance Race (MME) last year, Team Proton R3 and X1-R are joining forces again to top Class B.

Qualifying for the race will start on June 5 while the process of registration, scrutineering and free practice would be done the day before.

With a minimum of two drivers and a maximum of four drivers to a car, the first team that completes 182 laps (approximately 1008km) of the 5.543km track will be announced the winner on race day, June 6.

“It’s a natural progression for a race like MME to become more competitive with more big budget teams and faster cars entering as the years go on, with this some of the smaller players start to be left behind,” said Mokhzani.

“After studying the feedback from the smaller teams that took part in MME, it was decided that they needed a more level playing field which resulted in the creation of the Sepang 1000km.

Nevertheless for those frequent MME qualifiers, the race can also works as a warm up to the MME in August.”

Mokhzani also believes that the Sepang 1000km is a good grass root level race which caters to fresh and upcoming racing teams.

“With categories B and C in mind, SIC wanted to produce a strong bunch of drivers and team in this category,” Mokhzani said.

Deputy Minister Youth & Sports Y. Bhg Dato’ Razali Ibrahim said “Motorsports could be an effective solution in solving illegal race, mat rempit & drug problem among the youth. It is not only a better alternative to spend free time but could possibly become a sports career.

SIC is an ideal platform to bring motorsports closer to Malaysian youth. Giving opportunity to witness racing actions and experience the thrill thus making the youth realise that motorsports is something within the average Malaysian reach.

I would like to congratulate Sepang International Circuit for once again has made our country proud by coming up with such a unique race.”

The deputy minister added that motorsports can also be use as an effective national integration tool where all races and ethnics could watch the race together or support the same team.

“A good example would be when every Malaysian from all ethnics and background supports Fairuz Fauzy in A1 Grand Prix race,” he said.

And as the world is experiencing economic downturn, SIC has ensured ways to make the race as affordable but yet exciting. In short, we want to minimise the cost but maximise the thrill.

For starters, SIC have signed with tyre company Multistrada who will be providing it’s impressive Achilles 123 model as the official tyre for the race a compulsory requirement for all competing outfits.

“The low price yet good quality the tyre promises allows smaller teams to keep their budget low and it is among the reasons why SIC chose the Archilles 123 as the official tyre for the Sepang 1000km,” said Mokhzani.

He added that research has revealed that the tyres are able to provide maximum grip for 25 laps before beginning to wear off.

“I would like to express our gratitude and appreciation to Ministry Youth and Sports for their support and hopefully this is a start of the many good things to come.

SIC is looking forward to further explore new collaboration with the Ministry Youth and Sports in future.

ORANG ramai melihat lori yang terjunam jatuh dari Lebuh Raya Utara-Selatan di kawasan Taman Perumahan Taman Keladi, Sungai Petani semalam.

SUNGAI PETANI - Siapa wanita berkebaya merah yang melintas jalan hingga menyebabkan seorang pemandu lori parah manakala kelindannya cedera ringan apabila lori yang dipandu terbabas sebelum menjunam jatuh dekat kawasan Taman Perumahan Taman Keladi semalam.

Ketika kejadian pukul 8.15 pagi itu, pemandu lori terbabit, Mohd. Sobri Shaari, 42, dan kelindannya yang dikenali sebagai Atan, 37, sedang dalam perjalanan dari Bukit Kayu Hitam menuju ke Bagan Ajam, Butterworth.
Menurut Atan, ketika kejadian dia sedang berbual dengan Mohd. Sobri berkaitan dengan seorang wanita yang ditemuinya di Bagan Ajam.

"Ketika rancak bercerita, Mohd. Sobri tiba-tiba menekan brek lori sambil mengatakan ada seorang wanita berkebaya merah melintas di tengah jalan di Kilometer 105.8, Lebuh Raya Utara-Selatan.

"Oleh kerana ketika itu lori dipandu agak laju, Mohd. Sobri hilang kawalan menyebabkan lori terbabas sebelum menjunam jatuh dari ketinggian 10 meter ke atas sebatang jalan di kawasan Taman Perumahan Taman Keladi," dakwanya semasa ditemui di tempat kejadian semalam.

SUNGAI PETANI - Gara-gara terkejut ternampak kelibat 'wanita berkebaya merah' melintas jalan, seorang lelaki nyaris maut apabila kereta dipandunya terbabas dan terbalik di susur keluar Plaza Tol Sungai Petani Utara dekat Sungai Lalang di sini kelmarin.Walaupun bernasib baik tidak kehilangan nyawa selepas kereta Perodua Kancil miliknya remuk teruk, pemandu kereta yang hanya mahu dikenali sebagai Chan, 51, kebingungan memikirkan tragedi itu.Semasa kejadian pukul 6.45 petang, Chan yang telah berkahwin dalam perjalanan pulang ke Taman Bandar Puteri Jaya di sini selepas melawat keluarganya di pekan Ko'bah, Pendang."Semasa tiba di selekoh berhampiran susur keluar plaza tol itu, hujan renyai-renyai dan saya menaikkan cermin tingkap.

MOHD. Fitri tidak menyedari ada imej ‘lembaga’ berbaju merah di belakang isterinya di stesen minyak R & R Gurun sehinggalah gambar ini dimuat turun semula semalam.

KANGAR – Seorang guru bahasa Arab, Mohd. Fitri Mohamad tidak dapat melupakan keanehan yang beliau sekeluarga alami ketika bercuti selama tiga hari ke Cameron Highlands dan Kuala Lumpur minggu lepas.
Sepanjang percutian itu, guru Sekolah Yayasan Islam Perlis, Kangar itu mendakwa anak saudaranya yang berusia dua tahun yang menaiki kereta Proton Wira yang dipandunya berperangai aneh apabila asyik menangis.

Tidak cukup dengan itu, Mohd. Fitri juga mendakwa keretanya terasa begitu ‘berat’ dan beliau ternampak kelibat ‘lembaga’ semasa berhenti di Padang Besar.

GAMBAR ini dirakamkan di stesen minyak yang sama di Lebuh Raya Utara-Selatan dekat Gurun tidak lama selepas imej ‘wanita berbaju merah’ itu kelihatan.

Namun, peristiwa paling mengejutkan mereka ialah kemunculan imej ‘lembaga’ dipercayai wanita berbaju merah yang dirakam dalam sekeping gambar di sebuah stesen minyak di Hentian Rehat & Rawat (R & R) Gurun arah selatan sewaktu mereka memulakan percutian pada Jumaat lalu.
Mohd. Fitri, 29, mengakui semasa mengambil gambar isterinya, Shatini Shahidan, 28, yang berdiri di sebelah kereta mereka pada pukul 5.30 pagi itu, tiada sesiapa dilihat berjalan di belakang Shatini.
Lembaga itu muncul dengan wajahnya kabur dan berambut panjang.
“Sepanjang perjalanan selepas itu, kereta saya terasa berat semacam sehingga kos minyak dari Kuala Lumpur balik Perlis mencecah RM100 sedangkan biasanya dalam lingkungan RM60 sahaja,” katanya.
Sewaktu dia menurunkan abangnya di Felcra Lubuk Sireh, Padang Besar sebaik habis cuti pada Isnin lalu, Mohd. Fitri mendakwa ternampak kelibat satu lembaga keluar dari keretanya.

“Saya sempat membaca ayat Kursi bagi memastikan kami tidak terus diganggu,’’ ujarnya.
Peristiwa itu kemudian dilupakan sehinggalah dia melihat semula gambar yang dirakam di stesen minyak itu menggunakan kamera digital Nikon milik majikan isterinya.
“Berdasarkan gambar itu dan pengalaman saya melihat kelibatnya, ia amat mengerikan iaitu seakan-akan muka beruk dengan pipi lebar dan mulut muncung panjang serta berambut panjang,” ujarnya.
Sementara itu, Shatini yang merupakan seorang kakitangan Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) memberitahu, ketika gambar itu diambil, dia tidak berasa sesuatu yang aneh.
Kejadian yang mereka alami itu berlaku hanya kira-kira 20 minit perjalanan dari lokasi dua kemalangan jalan raya yang berlaku pada tahun ini di Sungai Petani.
Kemalangan itu membabitkan seorang pemandu kereta Perodua Kancil yang cedera parah pada 5 Februari. Ia diikuti dengan insiden seorang pemandu lori serta kelindannya cedera apabila kenderaan mereka terbabas di Kilometer 105, Lebuh Raya Utara-Selatan dekat Sungai Petani pada 19 April.
Dalam kejadian tersebut, mangsa-mangsa mendakwa cuba mengelak ‘wanita berkebaya merah’ yang dilihat melintas lebuh raya di situ.

Samada ianya benar ataupun tidak, ianya ada pada orang yang melaporkan atau menceritakan kejadian. jadi kalau depa tipu, so kita ditipu la. jadi pk2kn la noh....apa2 pun, smuanya tue ttap mahkluk ALLAH.....sekian...

sorry for the late post....i'm getting very busy after being employed by Afif Aziza Ent.....huhuhu..but i'll make it very simple and esay to understand...

huhuh....i arrived early at about 12.30 pm that evening. i'm just afraid that i can;t find the place...but alhamdulillah i managed to...

ok...at about 1.30 pm...i meet kak husna...the staff from YSD at the hotel lobby....then i was brought to cenderawasih where was the waiting room is...check up my name....and nah!!....i was the first person who arrived there...

ok...

2.15 pm......there were 5 people in that waiting room...me, liyana, naresh. jit and alif...we were given a case study about a survey of a company.. we were instructed to make a presentation about three main things:

we were given 30 minutes to prepare for the presentation..
nah...it was 2.45 pm already.....we were brought by kak intan to level 11 and respective interview room...mine was 1110....it was a hotel room....very vey nice...after 10 minutes of waiting, here comes the assessor...it was "she"...huhuh...she just hear my presentation and ask few question about my presentation....

right after that.... i went to room 1108 if i'm not mistaken for the acticity 2 that was the group discussion...during the group discussion, we were given a task to choose the right place for the new office fo the Business and marketing unit for the company of ETS(Evolution Technology System).....and the seconf thing was...the challenges that will appear when ETS split the business and marketing unit from the main company....liyana started the discussion
P/S= i screwed out the group discussion..ya allah...i just dun know what to say...nvm...

even it was already done, for me iwat the toughest assessment i ever been through...very tough....maybe that's why people respect more to the student that got scholarship from big compony such as sime darby, khazanah, bank negara nad etc because the interview was damn tough....haha...ok that from me...

hallo~!!!

ok...here some more interview experiences.....needs for me to share with others right....i'll make it as simple as i can..

7.45 am....i arrived at the sime darby convention centre where the sime darby business school located...it was at Mont kiara....my cousin sent me there...huhhu....when i arrived there i made new friend...Fahmi...he was from MCKK....nice boy...then i went downstair to the SDBS where there i meet with Nur husna...huhuh...lady from the YSD that oftenly called me about the interview offter...haha...she was nice...then i went for the registration and then kak husna(dunno either she was miss/mdam)....check out my cert...then sign in my attendance..haha....

8.15 am..... then we were bring to the auditorium....we were given some briefing about the assessment flow for that day...ok..here it is...we will be divided into to batch...

Batch 1 will do online assessment in the morning and the group discussion after the lunch(evening lor).

Batch 2 will do the group discussion in the morning and the online assessment after the group discussion of after the lunch..

huhu...me???...i was in the first batch...

8.10 am...... then we were bring to the ICT Room 1(batch1) for the online assessment...here...we were guided by a white man name Alex(if i'n not mistaken)....the only thing that i dun feel comfortable that he talked tooooooooo fast...hahha...but i managed to understand his words...ok..in this online assessment...i need to do 3 test.

here's the detail:

1. Verbal Test : 24 Question in just 30+ min

2. Numerical Test : ( same as verbal)

3. Profile Test : 300 Q with no time limit....

i've done the verbal test in BM...coz i know it will be so tough if i do in english as the time is short....i'm a bad reader.....hahahahha.....ok2...we had done the verbal and numerical test at about 9.50 am...

9.50 am... have a break!!! with milo...hahahhah...i get it touch with other people and got some new friend...and also one girl as i think she was the top student of PMR 2006....but she was not...ok...let go to other boy...i was more comfortable to mix up with that mckk boy (fahmi)...easy to talk with him...haha....ok!!...Rohan had called us into the ICT room....he was incharge to take us back into the room by alex....hahha

10.00 am... ok...it was time..now was the profile test....it just a test to measure how was your personal, likes, or others...huhu...as i mentioned just nor....300 QUESTION!!!! .....dun afraid...it will not kill u..but caution..it harm ur eyes.....hahahahha..

then we all go for a lunch at SD Halia....i dun remember the time..sorry.,...hahah...i also got info that..YSD sped about RM 65 nett per person for our lunch...HUH!!???...crazy wut...even me never spend that much for a lunch...but alhamdulillah..got it for free and for sure...delicious...

after the lunch...my group member called us to get go earlier to the auditorium to have some discussion....ops...forgot already...i was in group 2 for batch 1..

2.25 pm.......after about 45 minutes of waiting and chatting at the auditorium....we were called into the interview room....it was nice..but...DAMN COOL!!!!!!!!!....even i wear a coat...Group 2 consist of 5 people including me,rohan, dasha, shareman(not sure), janesc(nickname at fs)...and one assessor only(huh!!??)....ok..the session start...firstly we were asked to introduce ourself...

.then she gave us a topic to disscuss....here it is..

we got:

"Misbehaviour among the youth"

1. Discuss about the cause that lead to the problem

2. Give your appropriate way to curb the problem...

then dasha start the discussion...then...bla..bla..bla...bla..lastly..the was the end of it...hahah...

but then we were not finished yet...we were "quarantine" in a very very cold room just next to the interview room...only Allah know my feeling at that time..it was very very cold....but rohan and dasha make the room hotter with their jokes and humor...me also...hahahha...

3.00 pm.....at last.....kak husna come and ask us why we stay at that room???....huh?>?!!???....omg..just feel like a fool at that time...hahah..but it's ok...before go home...we have a chat first with kak husna and take some picx...hhehehe.....

ok....i think that's all...i hope that can be helpfull....ok...daa!!

p/s: alhamdulillah...i'v got the second-stage....pray for me...and wish me luck...k...

7.35 am....huhuh....i arrived at UNIten an searb for the banggunan BB whre my place of interview....NAH!....found it...huhuh...not straight go inside it...Have a breaktfast first..ahakZ!....after the breakfast...i went to the Banggunan BB where the Office of YTNB is...i went to the second floor and went for registration...hahha...i think i was early...but hahah...got NO 13 ...no no good number...then the officer check out my IC, Spm result and cert..

8.30 am....... then we all were bring into the waiting room. i take that time to get to know each other among the other....they was apart from whole over m'sia...perlis, melaka. kl, johor also got..wow....after that here come a lady..(forgot the name)....and gave some briefing about the Scholarship from TNB and the interview for that day....

8.55 am ....... we were bring to another room for the pofile test where we were given paper consist of 30+ question about yourself....i was the first who finish it...haha...

9.00 am....... then we were back to the waiting room again...and..wait la for our turn...i was no 13....hahaha...bad bad bad....but it ok....while waiting i have chat with other and i also meet my old friend Nafis...he was nice...we were together fir arabic tuition 3 year ago....

11.15 am...... alhamdulillah...at last.....it was my turn...there will be 2 person that will go to the interview room....i was with daim(sorry if i mistaken as i dun know to spell the name)...he was from yayasan saad school and i also meet him at PNB scholarship Test.....we went together to the room...ok....there were three interviewer in that room and one officer....2 woman and 2 man...at the center was the Pengarah for the YAyasan TNB....he was the one that pyscho most...hahah....daim that start first...then me..first was...i needed to speak anything that can convince them to select me as the scholar.....bla..bla...bla....then here comes the debate time...the second interviewer gave us a topic...for me and daim...we got " reality TV give more good than harm" luckily i got the opposition...i manage to talk about the topic during the debate...haha...last ly...the pengarah...ask us about other scholarship that we apply, then, what courses, and where,,,,ops and why TNB???.....so advise from me...be creative....

lastly...go home la...hahha....ok...

ok...as i promise...i will write down my experience during the Jpa Interview...feel like an obligation for as, before this i read others experiences on their blog during previous year interview...here it is..

that morning was tiring as i need to woke up at 5.00 AM...haha....even at hostel seldom do that...
i drive alone to Politeknik Arau. Arrive there around 7.15 am...quite early i think...huhuh...i get out early from my house to avoid jem n afraid of lost. but manage to find where is politeknik was...

i then went out to place where the interview held...at Bilik multimedia i think...if i'm not mistaken..on the first impression, i was very nervous because i saw lot of chinese compared to malay. huhu...but then around 15 min to 8.00, then i saw some of malay coming too...waa...nervous was going up more and more...haha...then around 8.10 am, the officer from jpa intruct us to go into the waiting room. from my rough calculation, for the morining session there just 50+ people there...

then after few minutes, there a lady come and give us some briefing about the interview and told us to check our documents n cert..i made couples of new friend there..huhuh...while waiting, i get to know and have a chat with some chinese n malay...it help me overcome my nervousness...haaahah...

the only bad thing is, i was in the second last group for the morning session... owh Alllah...it was a long day long to wait for the ineterview...ok...no more bluffing...ok..

around 11.15 AM, my group was called into the interview room. i was number 4...the man ask us to sit..there was 3 interviewer. 1 man and 2 ladies...the man n 1 lady was an engineer and the other one is a doctor...the interview for this year was divided into three session 1st was intoduction, 2nd group disscussion and 3rd is about the courses....

1st session was held in bahasa melayu, we where told to introduce ourself. all info. about name, ur family background, education background, cocuriculum background and for me i dun know y...he add one question for me...why they should choose me...arghhh...then i just bluffing around...ahaha...but in logic way...keh3...

done with it, it was the 2nd session, in group disscussion...my group got the topic of " Laughter is The best Medicine"...huhuh...then we was given 3 minutes to disscuss...luckily the group discussion going well as what i expect from all my group members...the times up....after the discussion...each of us need to present our point...i regret of not being the first person that talked in my group have taken all of my group members idea and talked about it...of god...luckily my main idea i did not mention it in the discussion...hahha...so i managed to present my idea...keh3...but pity the STAR boy...he had nothing to say and end uo wth repeated n bluffing idea...

came to the last session..during this session, i was asked by the eng, his name was Badrulzaman, about what courses i want to pursue during my study and where i want to go and why i want to go there...hahah...created a story then...but managed to attract all the interview....lastly as usuall..they ask if we have any Q....but we have no..haha...it's the end of it then...

but it was a bad day also for me, after i went out from the room, i went to that urusetia to get back my cert then, somthing bad happen, the borang pengesahan pendapatan....i cert it my headmaster as it was stated there headmaster can cert it but then the officer said...cannot...omg..know what...i have to go to jitra to my school, get new copy of that Boran Pengesahan pendapatan and get it to the principal. then need go back to Alor Star for my father cert and lastly back to arau...hahah...such a bad day...but i wa very happy as ithink i do the interview well...and pray for it..

11.00 PM...take a bus to kl...as 2.4.2009...i have a test for the PNB scholarship...wait for the next post...k...

installed a new SIMOTA air filter....better performance with that thing...and also some new heart....new carburetor....hohoho.....

still in good condition even already 29 years old....hahaha...love it as it was my first and only car now...

Yesterday, after hours searching around the half cut at parit buntar and nibong tebal area, i've found what i need a new "heart" for my car, Wira 12V 1.5 carburetor for my 1st gen honda only for rm 250...really cheap... new one was rm1300...that was crazy price for me...today...i send\t it to my frriend's workshop at near my old school. The sad thing is, i need to wait about 2 days!! for the "tapak" to get ready before i can get it hot on the road....hahha...i'll up the pics later...k..the project nver end.

bored...and really2 bored..i just don't know want to do now. i'm staying at home, playing games, eat, sleep, and lastly sms. nothing more i can do. recently, i just finished the english course at British Council. It was a great lesson with mr derek. he was a very good teacher for me. i hope i can continue studying there, but unluckly i have not enough money. it was very expensive. RM 750 for 2 weeks courses. OMG...huhuh...

yesterday, i went to visit chot's father at Hospital Sultanah Bahiyah. Alhamdulillah, he was in good condition. but i didn't managed to meet chot. he was at home. ohh...it's okay...

now??...i'm still doing the proposal for my old school wireless networking. i'm hoping that the project can go on. so that i can still get some money...hahah...ok..chow!!

The Shell Malaysia Scholarship Awards are now open for application. The scholarship is awarded to Malaysian students for pursuing full-time undergraduate studies (1st degree course) tenable at recognized universities in Malaysia or overseas, and Pre-University studies in Malaysia.

In addition, Shell also awards 2 scholarships to study Msc in Geoscience with Universiti Teknologi Petronas.

Eligibility

Diploma, matriculation, STPM, ‘A’ level and SPM/ O’ Level students who meet the following criteria are eligible to apply for the Shell Malaysia Scholarship Awards:

Excellent academic achievement with emphasis in English
Demonstration of leadership skills through active participation in extra-curricular activities. e.g. societies and clubs, sports, etc.

today is my last day in Alor star, gone move to my grandma house at Nibong Tebal. I'll be there for about 2 weeks i guess. It would be a long journey then. Whatever it is, i will work hard since the fees for the British Council was very expensives. I'll make full benefict of that.

Alhamdulillah, today i got already "L" for my motorcycle license. I already got it for car two moths ago in the pasting month. It was really-really tough even for getting "L" for bike, Why?. Hahaha..!~ simple reason, it was because the teacher for the " Teori & Praktikal" to extra strict. From the starting of the class until the end, just Scolding that i heard from him, not the appropiate lesson that i should get. Luckily, my helper at the circuit was the one that kind and understand what we want actually. Thanz. Tomorrow will be the next lesson for the car license. Hoping to finish it in this month.

Above is the path to obtain a license. Ahahaha. quite difficult right??....but it better from getting a trafiic compund for about RM 300++....

Alhamdulillah.....SPM is over already...from now on, i just need to pray to Allah for the best result. Hoping for a really good result for the SPM. Some of the subjects were quite tough such as Add Math, TK, and especially EST. THe subject that i'm very worried about is EST, the question is more to sciences stream student,...arghhhhhhhh...it's not fair, man. Whatever it is, just pray for the best..During the last day in jenan, it was the saddest moment in my life.. especially during the day after the est...i was totalled...it was the day she went home..the last day i meet her....but i will make sure that. she will alwast be in my heart...i'm also lucky since i can get a pic with her and one more thing is. met with her family. It made my body shaking. hahaha...quite nervous, but i love to see her family because the were awesome n happy-good-luky....

After the SPM is over, nothing to do. Just activate back my favourite rigs in my room. Just upgraded it recently. Spending my time now with Need for Speed Pro Street. haha...wat a game..

Recently, around 4 Disember, i got a letter from Yayasan Pelajaran Mara. I got an interview for the Kursus Intensif Bahasa Inggeris & Bahasa Jepun at UNITEN. The interview will be at Holiday Villa SUite this 15 Disember. The sad thing is, it clash with the EDUCAMP. I know that i will obviously go to EDUCAMP compared to the Mara one. However, i want both as i'm not guaranted to be place at UTP. Ahakz!...but, i'll try to call mara tomorrow. Want to make sure if i can postpone it to another day.

Today, is the Hari Raya Aidiladha. First time i wear jubah today..haha...i does not go to the mosque for the qorban coz got a headache. ahaha..tomorrow there will be someone coming to the Pak Wan SAlim's house.....hahha...the bakal menantu family of my sister....hahahha...

Alhamdulillah, at last muslim whole over the world had completed their obligation as a muslim : fasting...for me, this year is the last Ramadhan in Jenan. It was a very sad moment as next year, i would not be in Jenan anymore, perhaps also not in Malaysia...(reaLly hUh!?)....this year Aidilfitri is not interesting anymore for me....why??....as a students that will face SPM, is not a good time to go home by home to collect "duit raya" n eat some rendang....hahha.....i was really sad...but i need to sacrifice as my target is 11 A1....however, duit raya is still coming into the pockets....hahahha..i will upload some of my pictures during the first day of Syawal....ok??...huh!

The second day, my nephew, his family, paksu's family n also my family, went to Yan Kechik...why??...rombongan memining lor....hahaha...not me..i still young and waiting for her...hehe...but the saddest is, i was not in the convoy...oh my god...i could not experiences myself one of the malay customs. Maybe i need to face it while i was to be fianced...haha...i will up load some photos later...that's all....Happy Aidilfitri...
